VFC EGLM Prototype

WGC (http://www.wgcshop.com) sent in some sneek peeks of the upcoming VFC EGLM (Enhanced Grenade Launcher Module). The unit in the photos still resemble that of a prototype. However, the details are already stunning. It is apparent that the unit will be functionally and aesthetically correct with the left/right pivoting barrel and barrel rifling. There will also be a detachable sight module, which is not shown in the photos, for the EGLM. Pricing and ETA are currently unavailable. So feast your eyes on the photos in the mean time.

Inokatsu MTW line

Inokatsu apparently decided to produce its own gas blowback rifles instead of simply releasing body kits for the WA M4s. As a matter of fact, Inokatsu will release different rifle series under its MTW (Masterwork Training Weapon) product line. The first of the series is the M4 SOP MOD0, planned for release at the end of August, with a MSRP of NTD 17,800 (USD $585.62). Inokatsu will also have two gas systems available to cater to the different markets. One is designed for common gas propellants (HFC134a and propane). The other is designed specifically for CO2 use. Inokatsu will demonstrate and take preorders of its MTW M4 SOP MOD0 line at the Taipei Hooha Show (August 8th to 10th).

Star SCAR EGLM Stand Alone Module

Star Airsoft (http://www.starairsoft.com) will be releasing the stand-alone version of the SCAR Enhanced Grenade Launcher Module (EGLM) (http://www.starairsoft.com/product_detail.php?productid=392). It is certainly great news for those who wanted an EGLM without purchasing the whole SCAR package. The EGLM stand-alone comes with the EGLM launcher and the stand-alone mount, which could also be used with any RIS mounted weapon systems. There is currently no MSRP information, but taking into account of other Star products, it will likely be pricey.
