Page 5 of 17 Candidate 4: Guarder Polycarbonate Piston
The literature included with the Guarder Polycarbonate Piston proudly proclaims in chinese "the strongest piston, usable up to M160". While these claims might be an exaggeration, Cursory examination of the piston reveals that it is well made, with almost no molding lines visible. The design is an almost an exact copy of the Marui stock piston, except for some additional reinforcment of the first tooth, and a tapered lip.
Piston: Guarder Polycarbonate Piston Weight: 0.5oz Piston Material: polycarbonate Metal Teeth: 1 Average Barcol Hardness (piston): 11.9 Average Barcol Hardness (tooth): 88.1 Tapered Lip: yes Distinguishing Feature: reinforced first tooth, tapered lip

The tapered lip is clearly visible as is the rough molded surface.
